Nigeria
In Nigeria, we're supporting communities respond to Africa’s biggest HIV epidemic where 1.8 million people live with HIV.
Together with Frontline AIDS partners, we work with communities in Nigeria to realise their rights to access HIV services, especially adolescents, marginalised populations and those affected by gender inequality.
As the largest economy in Africa, and the African country with the largest population, Nigeria faces major challenges in responding to HIV. Despite its lower HIV prevalence of 1.3%, this still means 1.8 million people are living with HIV in Nigeria. This is the second largest HIV epidemic in the world.
