Growing a movement: Uniting the LGBTQI+ community in Kenya
A group of LGBTQI+ Kenyans have been engaged in legal action to challenge laws used to criminalise and discriminate against them.
A case, commonly known as ‘Repeal 162’ after one of the sections of the law in question, has been brought by a community of activists in Kenya, with support from the Partnership to Inspire, Transform and Connect the HIV resonse (PITCH). Their journey to the courts has united the community and forced public attitudes to change.
